Directions

Please plan to arrive in Boothbay Harbor at least 30 minutes before departure time to have time to park and reach the boarding sign 15 minutes before departure time.

Close By

In Fisherman's Wharf Inn parking lot, look for a white sign toward the water on a gray gate with "Schooner Eastwind Boarding Point" printed on it and stand next to it. Please don't be alarmed that you don't see Eastwind at this point - Eastwind is docked on the other side of Fisherman's Wharf Inn from you. Check to make sure the sign says "Schooner Eastwind", not "Lazy Jack".

If you are at the Schooner Eastwind ticket booth, go around to the right and you will see the sign.

In Town

If you are in Boothbay Harbor, go downhill towards the water until you are at the waterfront and then proceed along it until you find Fisherman's Wharf Inn. If you find the footbridge going across the harbor on your right, turn around. If you find Tug Boat Inn on your left, turn around.

Fisherman's Wharf Inn is right next to the only town park on the water, so if you find yourself in a small park with public restrooms, you are almost there.

Please use the restrooms in the town park before boarding as the bathroom onboard is for emergency use only.

Driving In

If you are driving into Boothbay Harbor, stay on Route 27 all the way into Boothbay Harbor. You will pass a Hannaford grocery store on your right and go up a steep hill. At the top of the hill the road splits into two one-way streets. You will only be able to go to the right around First National Bank.

Once the road has split, start looking for parking. If you haven't found any by the time you get to the red brick Post Office on your left, turn right before the white Memorial Library with green lawn and trees out front and you will find plenty of paid parking. There is no parking likely to be available past the library and you cannot park at Fisherman's Wharf Inn. After you park, head downhill on foot - you are no more than a block or two away from Fisherman's Wharf Inn!

If you are not in Boothbay Harbor, find Route 27. Route 27 turns south off Route 1 between the towns of Wiscasset and Damariscotta, which in turn are between the towns of Brunswick and Rockland. Boothbay Harbor is on the coast on a long peninsula, so if you are inland, you must head for the coast to intersect Route 1, which runs along the entire coast of Maine.

Further Afield

Drive north on Interstate 95 into Maine or fly into the Portland or Bangor airports. You can also reach Portland by Amtrak or by bus. Turn onto Route 1 North at the Brunswick exit on Interstate 95.
